Klonoa: Door To Phantomile (playstation) - Review, Cheats, Download, Gameplay


Very popular in Japan, a bit less in America and Europe but this game was one of the most original platform I ever played. As you can see in the video Below the gameplay is not in the common 2d but neither in the Crash 3d version, this game can be categorized as a middle way, many changing of cameras, the game is very fast and can be considered  an original mix of almost every glorious platform.
I used to play too much with mario, sonic and crash, Lomnoa take me back to the platforms, this game is too funny to be true!!

Klonoa, a look-like cat, Is in the fantastic world of Phantomile, a land where nobody remember their dreams... the 2.5 D adventure of Klonoa is an amazing mix of many good factors, first of all the characters, very funny when they speak their fantastic language and amazingly drawn. The second strong part of this game is the fastness, the game is similar to Pandemonium but at my point of view much better in every single field, Klonoa is easy to control, not any bug that will drive you crazy. The third strong element of this game is the ambientation, the fantastic worlds created by the Namco's designer are very beautiful, I also appreciated some RPG dialogs style that the developers of this game used.
A game that maybe was not very famous but one that is in my top list!

CHEATS

If you use a Epsxe i suggest you to get the psx emulation cheater (check it here ). There are not other ways to have some codes, I can give you just some hints

Balue's Tower (Extra Vision) Bonus Level
Save all 72 Phantomilians.

Control Title screen
Press L2 and R2 at the title screen to blow the leaves off the screen.

Level Select
After completing the game and returning to the title screen, select the "Continue" and "Vision Clear" options.

Music Test
Complete the Balue's Tower bonus game. A "Music Test" option appears on the Level Selection screen.

EPSXE PROBLEMS WITH KLONOA
I could find only 1 thread about this in google, so I guess it was  something about my configuration of epsxe, but if I use the epsx170 version it happen that at the "insert your name" screen I cannot type anything, I tried every single configuration but there was no way out. I tried then to load the iso with epsx160 and everything was just fine....
