Batteries Types


I just finished to decorate my new house, bought a new tv, air conditioning system, wi-fi keyboard and mouse and by searching in my old stuffs I found some old school toys that need batteries... well, everything need batteries and every single device needs a different kind... I am getting crazy, I always buy AA for everything, but there are so many other kinds... what about my watch? Hmmm maybe next time. Anyway I felt like I must do a quick research and now I would like to post the result, every single battery existing, or almost every... hope this can be useful!



-AAA (or Micro, Microlight)


Cylinder shape, + and - on opposite cylinder end, 44.5 mm tall and 10.5 diameter, 1.5 V

-AA (or pencil, penlight, mignon)

Cylinder shape, + and - on opposite cylinder end, 34.5 mm tall and 17 mm diameter, 3V Lithium, common in photographic equipment

- CRV3 













Flat Pack shape, + and - both on one end, 27 mm tall, 3 V Li-ion, Can be use in some cameras instead of AA.

- Duplex or 2R10










Cylinder shape, + and - on opposite cylinder end, 74.6 mm tall and 21.8 mm diameter, 3V, contain 2 cells 1.5V each.

Square shape with missing corner, - on top side + on missing corner, H48.5mm L35.6mm W9.18mm, 6V, Used for some medical devices.

- Lantern Screw













Same as Lantern spring just with screw top, for devices with high vibrations.

- Double lantern













6V, dimension as 2 side by side lantern batteries.

- Lady Battery ( or N)













Cylinder shape, + and - on opposite cylinder end, 30.2 mm tall and 12 mm diameter, 1.5 V, used for some wireless devices as microphones.

- 4.5 Volt (or pocketable battery)












Flat Pack, + on short terminal strip - on Long terminal strip, H65mm L61mm W21mm, 4.5 V

- Sub-C












Cylinder shape, + and - on opposite cylinder end, 42.68 mm tall and 22.2 diameter, 1.2 V, used for cordless devices.
